- airstrike: a pyspades script maintained by mat^2 and hompy, where numerous grenades rain over a single coordinate on the map
- alguem BR: similar to kto polak, but asked by Brazilian players
- all-out grenadiers: People who always throw all grenades they have at one spot in the hopes of killing them
- AoS: common short form for Ace of Spades

- badmin: "bad admin"
- bcoolface: (aka Ben Aksoy) the guy who gave birth to the indie game Ace of Spades
- Ben: see bcoolface
- blocks: The cubes or "voxels" the entire map is made of. The main object in Ace of Spades and they come in various colours
- blue: Short for 'Blue Team'. One of the opposing teams in the game. Likes to attack green builders/buildings, generally speaking.
- build: using blocks and making any type of structure albeit defensive or art
- buildings: Artificial structures built on the map that usually serve as fortifications, made using blocks.
- buld: slang for build
- buld cahirs and snip: Started off as "buld then snip" by a user called justin1196, which was then parodied as "buld cahirs then snip" by Kanye , which has since become the popular phrase. (build chairs and snipe)
C
- camper/camping: when a player stays in a position for a long period of time, usually sniping all other players in sight (who have just spawned), somwhere where the camper can't be easily spotted
- cap: (short for capture) to capture the enemy intel
- casual: a player with poor skills who does not play very much
- clan: an organized group of players that regularly play together
- click and drag: a building technique by "drawing" via RMB and dragging it to the desired location
- command post: (aka CP), a tent with the red cross which replenishes your health points, ammo, and blocks.
- crouch: crouching with the Ctrl key while walking makes you two blocks tall, so you can fit into small spaces. Also makes you move silently, even in water. Very useful when infiltrating enemy bases.
- CTF: capture the flag
D
- deuce: Ace of Spades equivalent of "noob". It originated from the many new players who never read the readme and never changed their names in the config.ini file. Hence, their name was Deuce#
- Dezzstrike:(commonly seen on GH1); an airstrike where a person gets 3 or less kills.
- duck: a word filter replacement commonly seen on Sham's Little Pony for the "f-word"

- Global Moderator: A Moderator with a bit more power and the ability to ban from the forums
- green: Short for 'Green Team'. One of the opposing teams in the game. Likes to build.. frequently and possibly throughout the entire game, generally speaking.
- grenade: a versatile explosive weapon, limit of 3 grenades carried at a time. Visiting the Command Post will restock up to that limit.
- griefing: Deliberately annoying members of your team or others by destroying their own buildings and sending provocative and irritating messages. Someone who griefs is referred to as a griefer.

- h: (also hh) often used by Komrades to greet others
- hacker: anybody who gets 3 or more headshots in a row
- headshot: when you get killed by a bullet through the head
- hovel: A house, commonly built on hallways maps, which has many sniping platforms on many different levels. It is also very aesthetically pleasing

- intel: the briefcase you have to capture in most game modes
- inteller: The person on either team that currently has the intel. A BLUE inteller would be the person on the blue team that is carrying the green intel and vice versa.
- intel tower: a structure specifically designed to make it difficult for the enemy to grab your the intel

- jumpshot: the act of jumping (spacebar), then shortly afterwards taking a shot and killing a deuce

- kick: Short for Votekick, where players take a vote on whether a player should be removed from the game. The command syntax is /votekick # reason, where "#" is the number to the left of the accused player's name on the scoreboard, and "reason" is why you think the accused player should be kicked.
- kto polak: a question often asked by Polish players, translated as "Who's Polish?"

- latticework: an open, crisscross pattern (looks weaved)
- lettuce: a vegetable, also slang for latticework

- mikuli: a MLG pro class (extremely dangerous player with extreme reflexes, able to kill other players quickly
- mod: anything that modifies the original game files (e.g. .kv6's, sound effects, etc.)
- moderators: staff assigned by administrators who help them manage the server(s); people appointed by Site Admins to moderate the forums.

- n: short for "no"
- nade: abbreviation for grenade
- newbie: a new player
- noob: a player who is experienced but still acts like a newbie
- noscope: (ns) killing a deuce with the semi/smg/shotgun without using the scope (RMB)

- OP: overpowered

- pancakes: the obviously superior breakfast food to waffles
- pixel: an area of illumination on a display screen, one of many from which an image is composed from
- plank: the little bridge part from one end of the babel tower to the platform
- pyspades: third-party Pythonopen and feature-packed server implementation, allows for great customizability with extensions and scripts.

- rambo: someone with atrocious grammar/spelling
- rifle: one of Ace of Spades' primary weapons. Believed to be inspired by the powerful infantry rifles of WWI and WWII, the rifle is both powerful and accurate. Commonly used by pr0's

- sapping: Destroying buildings and structures of the enemy team. Unlike griefing and trolling, sapping is usually seen as a goal by the perpetrator, and not done to annoy other players. Someone who saps is referred to as a sapper.
- semi: common short form of the semi-auto rifle
- server: a program that manages access to a centralized resource or service in a network
- site admin: Someone who controls all aspects of the forums
- shotgun: third primary weapon introduced in Ace of Spades. The shotgun adds a bit of realism by properly spreading 8 "pellets" randomly, with the range varying depending on the distance from which it is fired.
- shotty: common short form of shotgun
- SMG: see submachine gun
- spade: a tool used for clearing blocks, has the ability to gather blocks (LMB) and tunnel/trench digging (RMB). Doubles as a melee weapon, too.
- spade kill: a melee kill from close-range, usually quite humiliating
- spawn: the location where a team respawns after death
- spray and pray: unloading your entire SMG clip in the general direction of an enemy, in the hopes that you'll kill them.
- sprint: allows the player to run quickly, although sacrificing the ability to use the spade, build, or arm yourself with any of the weapons (shift). You can jump further.
- submachine gun: (a.k.a SMG) second primary weapon introduced in Ace of Spades. Its high rate of fire is balanced with increased recoil and a decreased rate of damage.

- tactical griefing: (see sapping)
- TC: territorial control
- t-bagging/teabagging: when a player spams the crouch button while standing on the head of the player corpse
- teamkilling: when you kill members of your own team, usually those who are destroying your team's blocks
- tent: The most popular nickname for the Command Post. Also known as the medical tent or the ammo tent, since you can replenish your health, ammo and blocks there.
- tower diving: when you dive from the intel platform to the enemy tower
- trolling: Synonymous to griefing. Someone who trolls is referred to as a troll.

- votekick: a poll requested by a player, who wants their target to get kicked from the server for whatever reason
- VOXED: a map editor program by Ken Silverman
- voxel: essentially a 3D (volumetric) pixel, or a "block"

- waffles: pancakes are better
- wall-popping: a strategy where the wall-popper crouches behind a 2-block high wall, stands up, quickly shoots someone in the head, and crouches quickly behind the wall again, and repeats, but moves along the wall a bit. (technique 6t6yby Tank)
- wiki: A site that contains much helpful information regarding Ace of Spades but nobody uses
