Who don't people kick aimbotters?

For all things AoS!

Who don't people kick aimbotters?

Postby TheOperator » Fri May 11, 2012 7:59 pm

Even when they make it obvious and head shot your entire team in 5 seconds without ever dying once, nobody will kick them! Even when you initiate the votekick! But then if you start swearing because your so ****ing pissed off YOU get kicked! WHERE THE HELL ARE THE ADMINS WHEN THE PERSON WAS AIMBOTTING?

This is one of the biggest reasons this game is failing.

Most people don't see the votekick since its not as emphasized and blends in with all the other chats. Admins have a life, they can't be there 24/7. I play for one or two hours and most of the time admins stick around for that same time. If you've ever been to Aloha Pinpoint, you'll see there are griefers sometimes as much a six!!! There aren't always admins and when I votekick they don't succeed. The best thing to do is not to go that server if there are a lot of aimbots or to become an admin. (I've applied over two months ago and still waiting...)

It was goonhaven. The guys was AdiPL and the admin was there. I was practically yelling at everybody to kick him for a good 7 minutes or so before getting kicked BY AN ADMIN for swearing, I guess they finally started to watch him after I made a fuss (EVEN THOUGH IT WAS OBVIOUS) and banned him

Btw, if you are an admin, being an admin IS your life, at least its your JOB and you should take it in shifts so there is always somebody watching! I doubt most admins are older then 18 anyway, so they cant have much of a life (compared to an ADULT life)

It just feels like the general age of this games player base has been dropping dramatically over the last few updates.

Because votekick is broken. It stops after about 20 seconds and gives no indication of stopping. That's why votekicking is impossible.

EDIT

Are you freaking kidding me? Admin three servers for about a month and come back and tell me that again. Being an administrator is a VOLUNTEER job. Am I getting paid for this? No. Am I earning ANYTHING from this? No.

this game should probably get a better vote kicking notification, something like what soldat uses, where it brings up a dialog box at the top, displaying the vote kick/map change, and then the reason, and F11/F12 to say yes/no.
more people would use it if it was easier and more noticeable, especially since the current one could just get hidden by dialog if people really tried to hide it.

AoS and being admin is not your life. That's called game addiction. It's fun, but not my life. Be an admin at GH, even though itll take months it's worth it. BTW I think that foul language is perfectly acceptable for any fps. Just ask izzy.

I was about to get pretty pissed at you saying being an admin is our jobs, good thing Booyo saw this thread before me. You're fucking kidding, right?

Just another idea: not everyone understands english. This probably isn't as much of a problem on the server you were on though.
TheOperator wrote:Btw, if you are an admin, being an admin IS your life

I would be worried if anyone was wasting their whole life being admin on an AoS server.

I know people like to jump to this conclusion (even I have), but you can't just look at this situation and blame 9 year-olds. I know people in my age group (18+) who act the same way.

When I was running my own server I would always be watching and spectating

One of the reasons I quite was because I didnt have the time for it anymore.
That, and my connection caused serious lag

Haha. Ha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

No. People admin servers on their own time, as a volunteer job. I've seen about 3 threads complaining about hackers coming from you, and to me it seems like you were annoying the admin while they were trying to investigate it, or you were just annoying them anyways. Here's a tip: if you see a hacker, votekick them. If other people don't seem to be agreeing, then just shut up and go somewhere else.

And if you feel servers are so poorly administrated, maybe you should make your own.

Completely agree with this. You know how boring being an admin can get if you're not playing? On the server IRC, all you hear are cries of "Hack!!!, and "Trolololool", or a couple of people speaking in a different language. There are no interesting conversations, no side tracks, no nothing. Now add aimbotters and griefers to the mix and it becomes pretty frustrating.

But RubbingMyCock, if you set up a server right then it's not a problem. Just have highlights in the server's IRC for the words "votekick" or "hacker" or "admin" then you can just idle and check up whenever someone says something.

I was just on a server and a "certain" player had like 10 headshots in a row, literally within less than seconds of each other, obvious aimbot and guess whose team the admin is on? Take a wild guess if the admin had any intention at all of kicking him as he continued to repeatedly get scores of headshots with zero delay in between? No. No he did not.

Still better than that piece of crap game, B-F though I guess. I still don't know why the forums censor the word Br i ck Fo r ce. I mean, the game sucks beyond belief. It was "okay" in closed beta but now it's just one giant cash shop, like it's literally worse than Perfect World games. They just set a new bar for Korean Cash Shops.
