So in the community headlines today, mat^2 has released a video about the new GL engine. Discuss.
A leader, a sniper, a creator...

Same old voxel's not blending with eachother complaint Besides that I'm really happy with the progress. Is the shotgun skin default?

I'm fairly certain the sounds are not default. (If they are, kill me now >.>)

There's nothing to complain about. It looks better and adds cool new features, but I'm sure someone will find a reason to get pissy.

Can somebody explain the server mod pack a bit more? Does that mean we will each have our own weapons, or server mods can control what weapons everybody who joins have?

It means the server could control what skins everyone uses.

To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.

Well that's kinda crappy, whats the point in making mods I like and use if somebody is going to have me us somebody else's mod?

Well that's kinda crappy, whats the point in making mods I like and use if somebody is going to have me us somebody else's mod?


I actually like that, this way if the server is WWII themed, it could enforce specifically WWII mods, or a clan match would enforce default mods/certain mods.

I myself would love to see one of my mods featured as part of a server pack, trough I fear that most of the server mods will be SIMOX's...

Also, this would most likely prevent cheating in clan matches (if Ben ever decides not to limit block length). They could set the server's skins to the default/vanilla skins.

I would hate server packs. You'd practically have to host your own server to allow the gun that you like. I believe that server packs should be optional, like there should be the server pack, and then the custom gun option.

From what I understood, this is how it works. By default, you could use your own mods, but the server has the ability to enforce a certain set of mods to you.
