But what if there have been a couple of days inbetween, or even a week? Then the people have probably already checked the old message and the only way to notify them is to wright a new one, right? (Sorry for going off topic, I just really want to clarify the rules so that I don't break them myself.)

I typically allow one bump (or a double post). The amount of time that has passed is insignificant. Triple posting will get you warned/banned. If you want to bump and you've already posted twice, get a fellow clan member to do it for you. If you can't find one or they don't want to, you might consider why you're even trying.
