Banned from IRC Channel

I've never been on the IRC, but whenever I try to join the chat it says #AoS Cannot join channel, you are banned (+b)

You're not the only one this has happened to. One day I went up to my family's lakehouse with my laptop, and I ended up being banned from the Ace of Spades IRC channel, due to me having the same ISP and hostmask as rambo, considering he was around my area when I was at my family's lakehouse. To be unbanned, I would consult an admin, or change my ISP.

Managed to get to the AoS channel last night via a VPN and spoke to StackOverflow briefly about it. Basically one or two idiots were making a nuisance of themselves a few days ago so full ban of Virginmedia was set.

A look through the channel logs confirmed this although I'd have thought the ban could've been narrowed down to certain regions rather than ISP-wide. I didn't press the issue further though as I'm new around these parts and don't know how viciously the banhammer is wielded by mods.

Wait it cant of been me cos i live in UK and virginmedia dont host their ISP in USA so i dont think you can blame me if you get banned cos UltimateCarnage lives in the USA. So i dont know how.

Â¬.Â¬ people have virgin media broadband in the UK, linkters.
There seems a correlation between trouble makers and virgin media, we've had many people from that isp causing problems over our time running the channel.
From the looks of it the isp-wide ban is lifted.
