Why do you still bury the command post?

For all things AoS!

Why do you still bury the command post?

Postby Headshotter » Tue Apr 10, 2012 9:25 pm

Tell me, with all sincerity, why do you keep burying the command post or building 2 block thick walls around it so no one can get inside?

I know most of the time its just griefers at work, but i've seen some people SERIOUSLY doing it to 'protect' it

Anyone else extremely annoyed by this more than usual? I can guess people who go for the intel and capture it are specially annoyed by this

I hate them too, once there was a guy who built a giant fucking house around the cp, and he made the entrance on the opposing side you would be facing if you were returning with the intel, so i took out my spade and built the house a new entrance, the guy who was building it started a votekick against me and was successful

In short, i was kicked for capturing the intel

I'm beginning to think that all of the maps should have static and protected command posts like the Tribes maps because of the Deuces who do this.

I think it would be nice to have them static, the only issue is at times this would become bad. For example, if a decreased capture range ever does get implemented, what happens when the defenders dig out around the CP leaving it stranded.

When the protected area is an entire grid square, that doesn't happen very often :P

why not just protect the block the command post is sitting on? its enough not to bury the intel and would give griefers some work if they want to strand it
