No-hud option?

First i wanted to say hi and hopefully appear as an friendly member in the community :)
Anyway lets go back to the topic as the subject says is there a possibity to actully remove all the huds including the chat without need to retexture all the pictures in the ace of space folder?
(the chat isnt really important more that the huds disappear)

If you move some of the files in the png folder like intel, player, and medical to a different location, it will remove the icons from the game.
