This is not happening. They are not fucking up Ace of Spades with vehicles. LA LA LA I AM NOT LISTENING.

I mean, think about it: .75 made the rifles inaccurate as hell and added so much rubber-banding that I cannot play. Hell, the rubber banding is so bad that maybe the rifle is just as accurate as in .70 but I can't tell due to the fact that I can headshot a guy 7 times and not do any damage. Can you imagine how much helicopters are going to duck shit up?

As long as it doesn't increase the already sucky lag I'm okay with it.

HOWEVER.
For the LOVE OF GOD don't make helicopters a spawn-on-ground-first-come-first-serve thing. Implement it as A. A killstreak award ( number could be altered by server operators through py) OR as a spawn option.

As an Ex-GTA IV player, I know the rush to the helicopters and everyone just TKing and yelling at each other for them. Then the worst sorts would camp with a rocket launcher and simply blow them up leaving everyone pissed off, or one guy would get one and destroy the rest of them from the air, acquiring total domination of any and all below him.

So don't do what R* did. :P

IMO giving a chopper as a reward, or anything really is just driving the game away from teamwork. I understand the issues with having them spawn, however, they could do this:

1. Helicopter can't be destroyed by team that own it. By default the owners are the team who owns the tent that it spawns at. When another team player enters it, it switches team. If both teams have players in it, it can be shot down by anything.


1 pilot, 3 passengers. Passengers can fire there weapons. No mounted weapons.

Helicopters will spawn once every 2-3 minutes, no matter how many are out and about, with a configurable limit of about 3 or 4 per team to simulate helicopter production or something.

45-60 SMG bullets to blow the chopper up. Same for rifle, maybe 15 Shotgun shells. To balance the rifle and Shotguns heli shooting ability, bullets can also damage passengers if they shoot them through windows/doors.

1. Helicopter can be destroyed by anybody as long as it's empty. Once the first person gets in, they're automatically the pilot, and the pilot's team can't destroy the helicopter. The pilot determines who controls the helicopter, and nobody can get into a helicopter controlled by the other team.

2. One pilot, 3 passengers. Passengers can fire their weapons and drop grenades. Any occupant can jump in or out at any time. The pilot has a fixed machine gun that points where the chopper points. It has unlimited ammo but has to cool down if it overheats.

3. Vehicles spawn in waves in random locations on either side. Each team has 2 helicopters, and when a helicopter "dies", it has to wait for the next wave to respawn. If a helicopter is captured by the enemy, it will still respawn on the friendly side, but only after it "dies".

4. Any occupant can be killed individually. If the pilot dies or leaves the helicopter, it starts to crash, taking damage when it lands according to how far it fell. However, any passenger can take the pilot's position by pressing a hotkey.

5. If the pilot dies or leaves, but the helicopter is still occupied, the helicopter is still controlled by the passenger's team. The helicopter must be cleared before the other team can pilot it.

6. The helicopter should be extremely tough, so that the best way for a single player to destroy it is by trying to shoot all the occupants. However, two or more players working together should be able to bring it down by brute force using SMGs.

Looks pretty good,but I think that it shouldn't have a machine gun,or have one with,like, 500~1000 rounds,and you must go back to the spawn and way a small time(10 seconds max) to get your ammo back.

Also,it shouldnt spawn automatcly. It should spawn in a random flat area with at least,lets say, 6x6 blocks, inside a certain spawn area (maybe the same as the player's spawn?). This could deny the choppers on the other team if there is a saboteur behind the enemy lines.

I like the idea of having a machine gun, because probably 75% of the time your pilot isn't going to wait for any passengers, and if he doesn't have a way to kill the other team it's not helping anyone.

IMO the fact that he couldn't kill anyone would be good reason to wait.

Also, the issue of having anyone be able to destroy it before occupied is griefers breaking it before anyone reaches it over and over.

I think it would be better if the passengers control the machine gun, maybe one can shoot and one controls the gun, and then the pilot just flies the helicopter. I think it would be cool though, the problem with keeping the game this simple right now is that it has enough stuff that it can't just stop here, it needs to add some more. it's sort of like the problem with Minecraft, it needs a lot more things in it for what they have already started with it.

i would like a simple heli kv.6 and there is no gun on it. And if a player gets in the heli he "disappear" and gets a Heli chase cam. So it is easly to implant and simple - good .
