i was playing oneday and someone (not saying name) shot me throught wall 4 blocks thick!

It could be the cause of lag or the player is hacking ,I'm not sure. I Don't think its a bug though.

Lag.

Close background programs before playing, connect to servers in your country only, etc etc.

The only people I know who have hacks like this wouldn't hesitate to brag that it is a hack. So it is probably just lag ;)
