'course there should be an INVISIBLE limit to sprinting. After sprinting your stamina away, your character's walk speed should slow down dramatically.

Sprinting may be a good thing to use when getting from cover to cover while under enemy fire. This may also be used when you want to dash off of trenches and into the next trench.

Sounds tactical, now doesn't it?

If it weren't for the gen map back in the days, everyone wouldn't throw shit at the updates because of AoS turning into a run n' gun shooter. Let me tell you something. Nearly no shooter online has ironsights. AoS has. Nobody ever complained about AoS having ironsights. AoS was going to be a run n'gun shooter from the very beginning. It was just gen that made people think this is "very tactical requires more braincells im smarter than the decent aos player hurr durr"

Not exactly. Yeah, it's my fault i missed. But then again, it's the game's fault it allows people who carry +30 kg of ammunition and equipment to run super fast. In this version, i take a shot, see if i hit him, crouch if i miss, stay hidden for a couple of seconds and take an another shot at him, lightning fast. Yes, but i could have avoided that fictional situation if not for sprinting. And actually, i have once survived against ten enemy soldiers. It was amazing, too bad my grandma's rig can't handle fraps. I should record some of my gameplay, i'm pretty good actually. Mhm, let's get back to subject, shall we?

Have you ever been in that situation when your clip's empty, there's an almost dead enemy soldier tearing your cover apart, and there's no teammates around/they are too busy trying to get kills rather than playing with the team? And do you deny, that luring the unsuspecting enemy to a bunker, and then detonating a massive bundle of dynamite, blowing them into high hell wouldn't be awesome?


Ask yourself this, how often does one REALLY have 10 opponents congregated in one area, bar spawn? How often is there a guy staring at a map just waiting for a tracer to appear?

People like to play this game with their friends. A group of people attracts deuces to the group, since they have no brain, they think that "safety in numbers" is a survival rule in this game as well. I'd say every 10 minutes a deuce watches the map for atleast a little while, trying to see a tracker. Why are they even in the game? I don't get it.

My point is theres ways to stop them from sprinting away/towards you, especially made easier with the new update.

Oh, i get it. But then again, they can be destroyed in seconds due to the new griefer's wet dream-spade.

no quite frankly im either dead or ive accumulated enough kills to get an auto refill from pyspades (usually the prior) before I run out of ammo.

Oh, by the way, why people use the rediculously shitty shotgun? It doesn't fit into almost any maps, and is useless at range. The SMG can be used to kill a sniper at fog-distance no problem, but what the duck, shotgun?

Please don't talk about things you don't understand. If you seriously think that ironsights magically turn a game into a mindless FPS-run & gunner, then... Yeah.

I don't understand why people glorify slow-paced game play.

The fact is that fast-paced games can be tactical and slow-paced games can be mindless -- it all comes down to the core mechanics of the game, not the overall pace. I mean, look at Tribes: Ascend. Would you call that a mindless, CoD clone? Furthermore, CoD itself is actually a really slow and clunky game. It's not like the classic FPS games like Golden Eye or Unreal Tournament or Quake, where the player zips around the map at 30mph.

You might not believe this, but some people think CoD is a bad game.

What makes a game good is that people get to play however they like and still have fun. People that prefer slow, tactical based gameplay should be able to game beside people that like fast, Rambo style gameplay. It's not possible. When 99% of your team run around, getting kills, tactical gameplay isn't possible and i'm forced to lone-wolf. There are numerous run&gunners in the world, go play one them. This is a game of teamplay and skill.

Only becourse CoD-kiddies don't know 'bout mah intel-capturing. Make it so that you only get points when you capture or try to capture the intel. Every time you pick the intel up, you get 2 points. When you capture it, you get the normal 10 pts. That'd force the kids to play with the team. Angryface.

Most of the people that post on this forum never played the old AOS. So stop thinking that, these updates are a good thing. They are not.

games changes Im oke whit that, but these updates ( auto-climb,sprinting,ect) arent a good thing.

Offcourse we need to play,before we can judge. But it just doesn't sound good on paper.

Aos was about,securing a area,and moving on, that's where developers eyes should be on. And not this, run and gun gameplay.

The public servers have never really had much teamwork. Sometimes a small group would come together to build something amazing or rush the enemies. In the public a two or three man team can dominate the match

The few clan matches and tournaments we have had had lots of team work. We need more clans and more clan matches.

Yup, it's confirmed. I think 'walking' was accidentally removed in the first pre-released due to code shuffling/removal, but a new way of doing walking was made, which also happened to allow sprinting to be made easily, so we'll be having it!

I'm looking forward to wave respawn for teamwork. Will be nice to spawn at the same time - like when you do a squad wipe and then watch the group spawn together and follow each other back onto the battlefield.

I'm also looking forward to spectator team.. aw man this update should be good :D

Back in the day when i started playing, (I think the game was in 0.24 or something like that) people played with the team, becourse they had to. It was also fun as hell, when you killed a bunch of people they said "Whoa man, had no chance. Nice" or "Wow, you're good" instead of "YA MOTHERFUCKIN N00B CAMPER!!!", "HE HACKS 4 SURE!!!!!" and "OMG, *insert the weapon you're using here* IS SO FUCKING OP!!!!!!"

I think Ben should release it and ask the Community if we like it, if we don't he can take it out, Thats what I think. I just want to see if its good for the game.
