..are very, very stupid.

So I come and take my daily turn at some server.. Looks lively- some half of the server full.. I check into green and see the chat.

"HACKERRR"
"Votekicking (name here) 3 left"

I question the players about the player aimbotting, such as asking them if it has been doing ridiculous stunts such as

*Shooting through walls
*Shooting through significant fog (to the point where the victim can't see the player)
*Shooting while turned the other way

Most of them don't reply- some of them respond with "YEA" WHICH I don't believe a bit- I try to give the player a chance, but these people just jump to conclusions. I'm sure the player was just more skillful than your- hm- AVERAGE player.

I can't believe this. What the HECK. THESE players in MY servers? Insane. Is there anything we can do about this? I do play on Minit- yes- and I ALSO get the occasional votekick for "hacking". We need to change our target audience, as I've said before. I suppose I just wanted to vent here. It's so.. just.. UGH! I can't stand it.

It's good to vent once in a while, or it'll build up and you get seriously irritable like teh pony appears in your avatar.

Yeah, this is 80-90% of the in-game community in a nutshell. As you've seen, it gets better here on the forums.

The best thing to do in this situation is to cancel the votekick, watch the player in spectator, then ban them if they are hacking. Sometimes it takes a while but that's one of the things you have to do to be a good admin.

If you do find problems with the servers and the votekicking that goes on find a server that is to your fitting. For example i use Stooge because it is patrolled regularly and the communitee is great. So just find a server that you can "stand" and use that one even if it doesn't have 32players 24/7. So just find that sever that is just 20% cooler than the others.

You realize I usually always go on Minit US Assault, Aloha Babel and certain private servers? I sometimes like to give other servers a chance too..

And they all blow it :P

ok, I might be wrong. But I think that the more complex a game is, the more mature the players are. For example, AoS and minecraft, very simple with an immature playerbase. Arma and wurmonline, very complex with a mature playerbase.

Take note, you run into the wrong people on both AoS and Minecraft.
