The Bazooka shoots more like a grenade launcher. Why not making its rocket travel straight, a bit slower and auto explode at a given distance (50m or something like that) if nothing has been hit (to limit max range) ?

Decrease block-destruction of the MG, 1 MG shot = 10% block damage or something like that
Also, adding overheating would be good, to prevent continuous fire which would be overpowered due to unlimited ammo and no reload. Imagine a Deuce using the MG in a tunnel and keep firing...

I do not like this idea at all.
RPG should be a separate choice from grenades, and MG should be separate choice for primary wep (also, no block damage)

I guess it would be a reason for people to FINALLY start playing the objective, but would the MG disappear when you die? or would there eventually be a bunch of MG's all over the place? I wouldn't want to get killed right after getting an MG (no cover, easy target for snipers) and have to earn it all over again.

I guess we have all learned, Ben isnt the best when it comes to balancing weapons, and making these things "rewards" will just complicate things IMHO.

Well, from what I understood, it won't be a killstreak reward, but rather, will be awarded for you after x points. So, if you just entered the game, you won't have access to it, but after you get x points, doesn't matter if you die, you get access to MG.

Maybe we could use the cooldown time of HMG from Left 4 Dead 2: Long-ass cool down time.
Frm what i see, yes, a "reloader" would be awesome, but 4-5 100-round magazine shuold be enough.

How about just 200 rounds, AND cooldown time.
No damage to blocks or very little (I think people should be able to hide behind cover from MG's, instead of just trying to run away) and the MG should be primary weapon (MG's are only useful on the front lines, and since you cant fire it while moving you would need an escort to an area with people to actually shoot at)

Also, instead of placing it and then having anybody be able to use it (or littering the battlefield with a bunch of MG's) as SOON as you place it you are using the MG. Much like in WaW when you could use bipods to place the MG's but you were the only one using it, then as soon as you unmounted the MG it would be back in your hands. That would keep the battlefield clean, prevent people from jacking YOUR MG and make it so you wouldn't have to code in a despawning system for the MG one the original placer died. There could also be a 2-3 second "setup time" to prevent somebody from rushing up to enemy lines, spraying away, then immediately hop off and run away one people start sending return fire.

The MG should be a STRATEGIC DEFENSE weapon, not some "you earned the death machine!" perk.


I also believe that the RPG will NOT be so lethal that it needs to be an unlock to keep "balanced" (even then it wouldn't be balanced since only the players who earned it could use it) and if people really complained you could make it carry 1 rocket instead of 2 (honestly, 3 well placed nades are more lethal then 2 well placed rockets)

I really hope ben sees this and takes what I have said into consideration.

And yeah RPG need some more speed into its projectile. Its currently too slow for an RPG, it looks more like an grenade launcher.

I think it should be slightly different than this. IMO, there should have a "setoff time", where you are packing back the machinegun, so knowing where to place it would be important, so as to not waste time. I'm not really sure about it going straight back to your hands. I'm in doubt between it remaining so other people can use it until you place another, or it going right back to the player's hands.

no damage to blocks is a really bad idea, the MG should be able to tear cover to shreds. 100-200 rounds and cool down time would be good, maybe so the MG can over heat if you fire like 30 shots without stopping. I am not sure about the killstreak thing though, the only other ways would be to have them respawn on the map and you carry them to where you want to place, like some vehicles in other games. or they could have it so each team can have 2 gunners or something, but people would probably get mad about not being able to use the MG

Or we could add an engineer class that gets both the turret and the RPG. This would get rid of all concerns about how each should be implemented, but they would need to be heavily nerfed.

I think anyone should be able to use it however if walk up to yours while someone is using it you can kick them off.

I'd like a grenade launcher.
But this is an RPG so it's a wait and see.

Point system makes me rage, I'll probably quit if this "You get it it for X points"
I would like them for primary choices.

I really love the MG idea. I agree the MG needs a cooldown system integrated. This will be great for defensive players like me.

About the RPG. The RPG needs 2 modes one like in the video a straight rocket. And the other mode is the Mortar mode. You put it on the ground and you have a mortar system.Maby you can use the big map for communication where the shells needs to impact.

Or is there going to be a seperate mortar weapon? Or is this RPG the long awaited mortar?
