What is happening to AOS?

I've just been reading this:

and am a bit disgusted. Ok, sure we're all human and we make mistakes, but has it really come to this, full stage protests due to the inefficency of our moderators? I mean seriously guys, couldn't an issue like this be solved another way?

From my belief, both parties are at fault. The moderators because from what I have seen, a bit of self reflection, even fake, could have avoided the issue. The playerbase because some of the things we have done actually sparked this abuse of authority.

Regardless of the reasons or drama involved if someone who is hosting or renting a server decides they no longer wish to host or rent said server that's their right. If the GH community is so tight then all they need is another member or members to host or rent another server then they can run it however they want, drama free if they so desire.
