How to kill a mikuli.

For all things AoS!

5 steps to kill mikuli:

1. Call an air strike on his position
2. Throw all your grenades at him
3. Get your team to all shoot in his direction
4. Use an aimbot to try to shoot him
5. Pray

That works about 7% of the time. It is your best chance if killing mikuli.

No really, in all seriousness, mikuli just plays really cautiously. He is good at getting headshots quickly, but I am almost as good as that. However I plays way more cautiously and therefore gets shot a lot less.

The last thing I'd describe mikuli as.. is cautious. You should play him.
I'm more cautious, since I have a different style to mikuli, but his is certainly not cautious :P

As for the other things Zeke mentioned:
Reloading when safe is a good idea, but sometimes it's not possible and you just have to worm hoping they don't get you.
mikuli has a pretty specific 'shoot-duck' which can make him hard to pinpoint, though he does seem to like popping/standing up while reloading (which seems a bit odd to me). I am a 'sit while deciding when to stand and shoot' whereas mikuli is 'stand until I need to hide' -his reaction time and accuracy makes that tactic a very effective offensive technique.

@demo123:
I really wasn't playing well. mikuli was even pm'ing me asking what the heck was wrong with my aim, which was a valid question lol.
You didn't play too bad mind you, you certainly weren't the easiest of opponents.

Glad to hear that i wasn't the easiest. I was in a running mood that day.

Just a question to a pro like you.
How to stop this? In my first week here(in this game) I was being realy good but the more i played the worse i became.

PS: Nice tip for "how to kill Mikuli".

Yeah, I can confirm this. I think my exact wording was "What the duck are you doing" or "Why are you not aiming, what's wrong?"

As for the people who are talking about getting nailed while looking for the direction of the shot, I have three things to say:

1. Direction of the sound. I cant stress the importance of in-game audio enough
2. Eyes on the minimap for the tracer, in case you can still catch a glimpse of it.
3. Do 1 and 2 while you're scrambling to make yourself a hard target, as the next shot flies in 0.5 seconds later, and with my luck it's going to hit me in the head anyway. You practically have that 0.5 second window to fire back and kill.

Miluli is not even close to having an offensive technique. My technique of rushing players that are reloading with the spade is offensive...

aha..ahahha..ahahahaha :D oh dear. You obviously haven't seen him steamrollering an entire team have ye.
If he's behind a wall and defending for his life (e.g. the INF matches) then sure, it's defensive - you have no choice but to remain where you are. But he by no means a defensive player - he's a hunter.

Benton wrote:My technique of rushing players that are reloading with the spade is offensive...

Opportunities like that appear a handful a day, it's hardly offensive since it's so limited.
That said I've managed to pull off a few good spades in a match (INF), but it's not that great an idea in general. Why run and spade when you can headshot them? Much easier and more efficient.

It's more of a humiliation, if you think about it.

Besides, if you're in very close proximity with someone, using a spade is a better option (unless you have an SMG or Shotgun).
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

but that might not work :/

the few times I played against Mikuli the best thing I could do was avoid him and ATTEMPT to snipe him.

I got him ONCE DX

That's the only reason I ever do it :D
(E.g. 1 / 2)

Very close, yes. But it'd have to be very close to make it worth doing, headshotting is generally the better option.

Well what you need to kill a mikuli must be accuracy, luck, and a good placement.

I often use lone ambush tactics on hilly maps, sniping ponies like crazy after getting in a nice spot... And as seen by this figure, I can be a rather formidable sniper

So stay out of sight, figure where the shot came from via tracer, duck and cover. Then find an uncompromising position and unleash hell wherever Sir Mikuli may be.

.... How exactly am I a defensive player? Certainly news to me.

by spawnkilling the entire enemy team for the length of a match you prevent them from ever having a chance to grab your intel

I remember playing against those guys when I first started and they owned the crap out of me. I have gotten a little bit better though and can almost hang with them. It gets really tough when you get multiples on the same team. Mikuli, TGM, Tank, Salina and several more are hard to kill solo but when you get them together...
