Well to make the most realistic flamethower shooting style I would have had to do the following:
-asked hompy/scripter to make a script that shoots the smg at 2x normal fire rate
-made a Slab6 tracer as big as SIMOX's tank
-readjust the voxel limit on tracers so that all of the tracers, not just 9 or 10(which is a really small fraction, around 1/1000), could cause damage
- Decrease the smg damage rate and increase the ammo capacity
-Ask a scripter to make a damage over time thingamig.
So in the interest in preserving this game's already delicate balance, it would be best if we just let the M3 shoot fireballs. Just like the Firebug in GG2 without the airblast feature. Though I would love to see if Hompy/other scripter could create a flamethrower script.
