The Operators Tactical Sniper Scope with High-Tech features!

Postby TheOperator » Thu Apr 12, 2012 4:32 am

Well, I put a lot of work onto this scope, and I hope you all enjoy it a lot!

The top of the scope has a range estimator set up for 30, 60, 90, and 120 blocks respectively. Just set up the flattest block within vision to fit within the corresponding block measures and you will have a very accurate estimate of how far you target is in block distance!

Next is the small circle to the bottom right-hand corner of the crosshairs. That is the "margin of error" for the current rifle trajectory decay. As long as the target you are aiming at can fill that circle completely, your shots will NOT miss. This way you can play it safe and guarantee your shots will land perfectly every time instead of taking a risky shot from being slightly too far from the target!

The crosshair itself is red to stand out easily a midst the most common colors you will find on the battlefield, and slightly transparent to guarantee it doesn't completely block out the smaller object you might be aiming at.The reticle is also only 2x2 pixles, ensuring the maximum amount of visibility within aiming while retaining perfect alignment with the rifles trajectory. The top of the crosshairs are left open so you can scan the battlefield without anything to obstruct your vision, and the small half circle is for easy target acquisition within shorter distances.

Lastly a second range estimator specifically aimed at enemy size and distances (both height and width), can be easily paired with the "margin of error" tool located above to help you further estimate the best way and time to attack your target. It can also be used as a distance estimator in retrospect if aiming at a relatively flat surface without any blocks to use as size indicators.

I have personally tested the accuracy and distances on a private server in a controlled environment with my size model (fiance) so I can GUARANTEE you all of these measurements are PIXEL PERFECT. That's an "Operator" Guarantee!

That looks pretty interesting, good job, but do you have a non-blocky scope? Cause the rifle I'm using is a "futuristic" rifle, and the gun on the scope does not fit with the model I'm using =/

PS: I'm willing to download it, it shows that I really like this scope.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

Is the watermark present in-game or its just for the screenshot?
Otherwise its really annoying stamping your names on your skins

Here is the rangefinder and the and aiming reticle.
You can use these and add them to your sights so you can choose to make whatever theme scope you want, or pair them with already existing scopes you have.

That "Margin of Error" thing is, in my opinion, the MOST useful thing in the sight. Awesome stuff.
Are you a tunnel rat or a hunting hound?

Also, play the objective.

Here is an updated version of the sight with less clutter and the margin of error circle outlining the reticle.
