WELL, AKS-74u is a small version of the AK series, AK101 is the newest AK, AK47 is the oldest, though AKS-74u is a AK74 (which was made around 1974) which was made smaller in the 1990-2000.

Actually, the newest Kalashnikov is the AK-12, announced in 2010, the AK-46 is the older, although never adopted by the military and not famous, and the AKS-74u was created on end of the 70s~ start of the 80s.

Ok, first, AK is short for AK-47 or AK-74u. Second, Until I started playing Ace of Spades I had never heard of this 'AKS-74u' you're talking about. Only AK-74u. Like, in reality. This video game is the only place I've ever heard AKS-74u.

Krooper, i am sorry to say, but that looks like a maverick weapon, and i think that if you would try getting more angles of the REAL weapon's picture, and also try using more colours and start making plain guns and since your kinda new (???) then try making atachments when you are more experienced. (KIND OF NONSENCE THAT I JUST SAID)

AWESOME CHOICE, btw, check out my mods, i started with CUSTOM GUNS, also, you dont suck, I Friking LOVE the gun, its just that it doesnt coordinate with its name =D

ok, I was going through my files, and found that I actually made a super-accurate scope for the original AK-74u. I already updated the file + added the scope to the first page, in case someone needs it alone. enjoy ;)
