This topic is similar the Tai's War academy, but focusing on grenades
Chapter 1: Familiarization
- The grenade is a versatile piece of equipment, to my esimation it would be used mainly for offesive tactics, but in this guide will teach you how to use grenades defensively and for construction.
Chapter 2: Offensive Tactics
- The grenade can be thrown (if you didn't already know that), It is map to "4" (default), and is thrown using the Left mouse button (default).
Due to gravity and the human ability to throw, the grenade will arc through the air.
Like in real life, the longer you hold the grenade the shorter the fuse will be when thrown, but will also increase the throwing distance.
Keep in mind the radius of the grenade extends to roughly 15 blocks
the picture show is an exact estimation of the damage radius

Green & Beyond= Safe Zone
Yellow= Less than 50% damage taken
Orange=More than 50% damage taken
Red= Kill Radius
*According to staged test
Chapter 3: Defensive Tactics
- The grenade is very good at offensive tactic, but what about defensive?
This chapter will deal with minimizing damage from grenade.
Blocks absorb all of the damage dealt from a grenade, but keep in mind, a one block high wall won't save you.
An ideal way of a grenade resistant wall is, 3 blocks high, 2 blocks wide and 1 block deep, of course you can improve this.
"But what if live grenade comes at me and I have no wall to hide behind?"
Simple, place a block on top of it, it will absorb all of the damage, leaving you without a scratch.
Quick Tip: The larger a bunker is, the less likely it will be to kill you and all of your teammates in the bunker if a grenade is thrown
Chapter 4: Construction?
- "Construction? Grenades? What the hell are you playing at?" you might say, I will respond with.
Tunnels. Since Grenades have destructive capabilities, tunneling is slightly more easier.
This will also apply to bunkers in mountains.
Does your enemy have 3 block thick walls? Fear not, grenades can blast through them with ease.

Dig 2 blocks into the wall

Throw the grenade to the side of the nook, as it slows down the grenade

BOOM! Either cover the hole or get out of the way

Grenades can also make quick foxholes

Add a few more barriers for extra protection

Add some over head cover aswell
The top covering provides enemy shooters to have a harder time in hitting you from above
The bottom cover is good for when you are close to water and on high hills
This concludes the doctors guide, and is also welcome to suggestions.
