Ways to implement teamwork

For all things AoS!

Best way is to just get some people who you play with regularly to get a voice chat system going. Getting the whole team to be a team would be quite the accomplishment.

If we ever get voice chat i want a big , shiny , activable by any key in the keyboard , called "MUTE ALL THE PLAYERS!"
so we can filter the undesirables , like serbs , polacks , BR's , Deuces and 8 year old kids that think they're god in a minimalist voxel uniform.
Ashamed to be brazilian , monarchist.

Microphone support, really. If you could talk with people, it would all be so much better. How else would you team up with someone? Stop in the middle of a war-field and start typing? Read the other players mind?

And don't just say "use mumble". If you're joining a server, and you want to team up with someone, you don't try to make everyone download and install mumble so you could work together with them and capture their intel.

The thing is, voice chat isnt going to somehow create team work, it makes it easier to coordinate, but thats about it. People are just going to scream at how much you "fucking suck" for not "covering them" while they run out in the opening guns a blazing and how amazing they are and how all of green team is hacking and them spewing memes left and right. This is of course, assuming were talking about standard deuce play with a bunch of random strangers. Obviously voice chat would come in handy for people who go in with the intention of winning through teamwork, but generally they can just use Vent or mumble or something.

benefit to the team (and then go on to bitch about the lack of teamwork).

Off Topic; Squads are over powered, and as much as I resisted the idea at first I think I'd much prefer a revive system. I was playing a Goonassault map and saw these guys sprint across the water solely based on the sheer numbers (once one got shot or died, the others would crouch in his body and let him respawn. It was an abomination).

I really don't know when it started happening (I'd blame .76, because it's the anti-Christ and has to be purged from this game like the plague), but we just don't have a good community anymore. The best solution would be manadatory registration. If you can't be bothered to register (or you're too stupid/ADHD to figure it out), then we don't want you. Hell, it's gotten to the point where I respect even the most moronic people on the forums solely based on the fact that they found other parts of the community without a huge fucking sign pointing to it.

As much as I like sprinting, too, because it brings back roads, I think it just speeds the game too much. The lag the game already experiences means it's virtually impossible to snipe someone who's sprinting and moving even mildly. This means it's easy to rush sniper perches and just obliterate them. I think it's time we removed autoclimb (although jumping should still cover 2 blocks high so people don't have to mow down everything in their path).

TL;DR
- Rant about Polaks/BRs
- Remove Autoclimb/Sprint
- Registration
- .76 is antichrist.

Don't you mean .75? Because .76 isn't even out yet =P
But, yeah, basically on everything else I agree with you, except on sprint. If sprint had some kind of stamina bar that is really slow to recharge and you can't run after it is depleted, that would be good enough for me.

*Doh* Yes, I did.

A stamina bar is interesting but I think I'd rather they did away with the feature all together, because once they start putting limitations on it it'll only be one of those "what could have been..." situations.
