Well let me tell you about the history of this signature. One guy was telling me how any action that "does not play the game as it was indented to be played" breaks the computer misuse act, and thus is illegal. I replied asking him if he is seriously saying that griefing is a federal crime in the US. He said he was serious.

Yes.

I kind of wanted to leave it at that since you were too goddamn lazy to check yourself, but whatever;
- Movement packets are verified to check that the client is not moving further than is possible
- Hit packets are checked to make sure there was line of sight between target and shooter
- Weapon damage and bullet count, clip size, etc, are verified to prevent unlimited ammo
- No cap on vertical velocity from gravitational acceleration prevents flying

Just a few off the top of my head. Plus there is aimbot.py etc.

When you search "antihack" on the forum literally only one suggestion thread pops up and the thread is kinda vague and talks about "not implementing antihack" which is why I ask.

Hit packet checking is only rudimentary though. It's not gonna prevent an aimbot from working.

While hackers do piss me off, they usually don't have skills worth a damn, so usually the scores between me and hackers is about the same. Griefers piss me off because........ well.......... you all know why, do I have to justify? Really, hackers don't get much satisfaction from playing, so they usually don't stay for long. Other than that, do your best to kill them.
