The MG bullets doesnt destroy any blocks, but it counts anyways if you shoot 3 bullets into a block then teamkilling gets enabled, have no idea why though.

I hadn't posted because I didn't have video showcasing it!

For the machineguns to be useful the map has to be designed with them in mind, not slapped on as an afterthought.

The area they protect has to be sort of closed, not too far back on the map that you don't get to shoot anyone, and not so forward that you can shoot the enemy MG (it would be stupid). And probably other things too that I haven't even thought of.

Making a map is too much of a time investment for me, at least with the level of detail I had in mind.

So that said, if anyone wants to do it I'd be happy to write a small guide on how to put MGs on a map. It's actually really easy but you have to consider some limitations, like say the machinegun nest can only look forwards, not north or south.

The area was just protected, you can destroy blocks fine. The houses in front of the church end up looking like swiss cheese after a round in Normandie.

Yeah, I saw when you got kicked.

The guy who kicked you left the server a few minutes after that when he realized what he did. xD

Someone just told me about this script. Checked it out on Trenches on Sham's Little Pony and I'd love to get this on my No Man's Land map. Can you do two machine guns per side so you can do interlocking zones of fire? Answer is YES.

Hompy, I just want to say this is brilliant. You are truly a Wizard of AoS scripting. A question, though, am I right that the enemy doesn't see your bullet tracers? As far as I can see you don't. Perhaps I am wrong. Anyways, I added this to my No Man's Land map succesfully just to try things out. I was thinking of putting this on a new updated version of Urban Tank Fight maybe too.

Now I want to see this rumored mortar script so I can have a full WW1-style experience!

The enemy does see the bullet tracers, they look like a long, yellow line.

I actually made those bunker in Trenches thinking that Ben would implement MG's relatively soon...

Now when I think about it... you have a fantastic field of fire with enemies coming from the front...

You'd ... be ... unstoppable!
