GEN is love nothing more. The maps are made for aos and are perfect for aos. I get suck off Custom maps.
AoS The worst game with the greatest potential .

Every time I play gen it's just be a huge fight over one hill. Anyone with eyes can snipe everyone from on top of the hill, so some guys start making tunnels. Meanwhile, a third of our team is at the corner of the map building some rainbow fort, god knows why. Then someone comes in and lone-wolfs' the intel until his team wins. Then the maps changes to Darkfort, I stop raging, and start building some walls.

It was a lot funner when it was the only option.

I like both versions of genmaps, but IMO pyspades genmaps need to scrap the mountainous regions and less liner rivers. The whole map should be the same.

I hate vanilla Gen maps, but I like the Pyspades genmaps.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

I can honestly understand this opinion. Gen maps were always pretty bare, but that's what building is for. As far as custom maps go, what bugs me the most are flatmaps. One thing that I always loved about AoS was that you could dig trenches and tunnels. You can't do that on flatmaps.

I honesty wonder how many new players have never played gen on a server before.

Actually that looks a lot like the TC gen map servers, just replace intel with capping rear tent.
