Click and Drag: Yea or Nay?

Postby DownloadFailed » Wed Jan 25, 2012 10:57 pm

I saw the news update, but I have yet to see a topic made purely for the discussion of Click and Drag.
Some say this is a blessing
Others, a curse.
What do you think? Should it really be added to the game to expedite the building process and make it easier to quickly build fortifications? Or should we keep with the original single-block building process?

Personally, I don't like the idea. Building structures block-by-block makes you feel like you've accomplished something, and it also means tactical destruction of enemies' structures near-pointless as they canr ebuild it in a matter of seconds. You also have more control over block-by-block building.

I'll wait and see how it's implemented before I decide properly, but I dislike the idea at this moment.

You wont have to use it, its optional. If this does get implemented, you can still build block by block if you so wish.

He feels like others cheat, thus it diminishes his own value.

It's like when you see some guy in Minecraft who used creative mode to build some giant castle. Well that's nice but some people worked hard to make something like that, mining the stone and smelting it themselves. Taking the difficulty out of a task diminishes its worth.

Not when people are shooting at you.. I have to say it would increase, in that case.

This isnt a good Idea, buildings shuld take time to build, not a 2 second thing, otherpize there is no reason to ever break from cover+ a lot of spamming of cover, which slows the game down too much
