Ace of Spades might not be compatible with that version of Windows. I do know for a fact it works for Windows XP and Windows 7. I also heard that it shouldn't matter what graphics card you have to run the game. I recommend updating to a newer version of Windows, and see if that works.

Well, Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 2000 since July 13, 2010... I guess you need to get a new computer. The game works only on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

I'm gonna go ahead and bump this... I have the same operating system, and same update version of it.

Despite Valve's very complicated program "Steam" ceasing to support Windows 2000 in August 2010, it still runs on Windows 2000 because they support Windows XP... and XP is fundamentally a clone of Win2k.
(Anything that runs on Windows XP should be able to be made to run successfully on Windows 2000 with little to no effort.)

If there's no intention to consider extending support to Windows 2000, well, then maybe the "System Requirements" should be elaborated to at least specify which operating systems are supported... I've played through STALKER on this compy, with huge success, and am not about to abandon my OS installation just to run Raidcall, Ace of Spades, and something called "Pando Media Booster"... (the only 3 applications I've come across that haven't worked for me).
