Tried to follow "How to use Mods" info, now kv6 won't load

my son got a new gun or sleeve (sorry not up on the lingo). we tried to load it into the game using the information sheet we found on the forum. Now when he's trying to get into the game it says, it can't load/find kv6 file.

Can you point us in the right direction? Do we have to re-load the whole game? And will he have to have a new user name etc.

Did you rename the mod. For example you have a jbhasjfhaj.kv6 and you want to replace it with semi(rifle). Go to kv6 folder in Ace of Spades directory(C:\Ace of Spades). Remove the semi.kv6(make a backup just in case). Rename the jbhasjfhaj.kv6 into semi.kv6 and there you go.

Well i dont think that you will need to re-install the game and he wont need to change his ing(in game name). You only need to type in the ing when you first instal the game or re-install it. Plus you can use the ing that is already in use.

Yeah, the file should be named in relation to the gun that you are trying to replace. For example, to replace the rifle/semi, you have to name the modded kv6 file "semi.kv6" and put it into /Ace of Spades/kv6 in order for it to work. I recommend backing up/renaming the original semi file to "semiorig.kv6" so that if you ever want to go back, you won't have to reinstall the game.
