GamePad support?

So I have a gamepad and I've gotten it to work with multiple games through the program Joy2Key. I wanted to try and do a hybrid control scheme (move and weapon-switch with the gamepad, aim and shoot with the mouse) but apparently the gamepad didn't work when I loaded the game up.
Is it just a configuration issue, or is there just not support for gamepads in the current version?
